Torture Devices

Thursday, February 25, 2010

Mommy decided I needed something called "shoes" and she and Daddy went out to Target and found some. Last month they had tried to get me some, but I got fussy and they gave up. I was a little more amiable this time when we went shopping. Daddy slipped them on and I swung my feet in the cart. They look pretty darn cool.

But, when we got home and they put me down with my shoes on ... I got very upset. How am I supposed to walk in these things?? They're so big and they feel weird! I don't like 'em and I won't wear 'em!! Barefoot Forever!!

Ack, get 'em off!

How are you supposed to move in these things?!

Daddy, save me!

You're Gonna Do What to My Hair?!

Mommy and Daddy have been talking for a while about my hair being rather long. I didn't know what they meant ... I think it looked fine. But they said it was getting too long.

So, they ganged up on me and Daddy took these sharp, shiny things and started taking my hair off. Poor hair ... what did it ever do to them?! But I was a good boy and sat (mostly) still for Mommy and Daddy.

After it was all said and done, I thought I looked pretty cool. Mommy and Daddy agree that it makes me look like a big boy! Maybe this "hair cut" thing isn't so bad after all!!

Cupid's Work Never Ends

Sunday, February 14, 2010

This Valentine's Day I did a little work as Cupid. Granted, my skills didn't work on Mommy and Daddy because they're already *so* much in love!

So I'd like to spread some Happy Valentine's Day feelings to everyone else! Hope you had a day filled with love and laughter!!

Walkin' Man

Friday, January 22, 2010

It's finally happened ... I decided to give up the crawling and move on to the wide world of walking! I started out rather tentatively and would hold on a lot ... but once I got the confidence, BAM! I was off! So here's video of me on the go!

Sharing

Tuesday, January 12, 2010

Looks like I'm going to have to learn to share. Mommy is going to have another baby in August and that means that my blog is now our blog. Guess it's better to learn now than later!

I got to go with Mommy and Daddy to see Dr. Gina yesterday. Mommy got some goo rubbed on her tummy and we got to see my baby brother or sister on the TV screen. The baby waved at us and the technician took a few pictures.

So here's my new sibling! I'm gonna be the best big brother ever!

I'm the Birthday Boy!

Saturday, January 9, 2010

I had a great birthday today! Mommy and I got up and we had breakfast. Then Daddy, Mommy, Bubba and I took a trip to Wal-mart to pick up my birthday cake. It looked really nummy! But Mommy wouldn't let me touch it! The nice bakery lady gave me a little cake along with my big cake. Mommy said that I could have that one later. We also picked up some ice cream and balloons.

Then we headed over to my friend Clarissa's house to celebrate my birthday with Ms. Crystal, Ms. Becky, and 'Rissa. I got to open my presents from Grams and Poppie and Mommy, Daddy, and Bubba. Then it was cake time!

Everyone sang Happy Birthday to me and Daddy helped me blow out the candle. While Daddy cut up the cake, Mommy gave me my little cake. Wow! It was *so* good! I ate a lot of it and made a mess with the rest. I thought it was funny to watch Mommy clean up all the smeared cake when I was done.

'Rissa and I played for a little while, then it was time to go home. I had such a great day that I passed out in my carseat on the way home. I had so much fun on my birthday!!

Who's That Man?

Sunday, December 13, 2009

All this talk about 'stranger danger' and what do Mommy and Daddy do? They put me on some strange man's lap that I've never seen before!! But, Mommy and Daddy said he was okay ... so I guess he's alright.

Daddy stayed right next to me, so I wasn't too worried that they were going to give me to this guy. He kept asking me what I wanted for Christmas. What's that, anyway? Mommy and Daddy keep mentioning that too ... and we have this big tree in the house. I thought trees grew outside? What next? Snow indoors too?
I guess this is all okay tho. Mommy and Daddy sure seem to be having a lot of fun showing me pretty lights and talking about presents. Maybe I'll get it when I'm older...

Boo!

Saturday, October 31, 2009

Happy Halloween!!

Mommy and Daddy let me stay up late to go trick-or-treating with Amanda and Sophia. I was a dragon (RAWR!) and Soapy was a pretty flower. We walked around the block and I got yummy candy!!! When we got back Mommy, Daddy, and Bubba went thru my loot. I got to try my first chocolate ever: a mini Snickers! It was *really* good! I want more of that!

Here's a slideshow from the night!

Putting the "Action" in Action Bath

Saturday, September 19, 2009

Last night I decided to give Mommy and Daddy a shower while I took my bath. Splashing in the water is my new favorite thing to do while taking my 'action bath'. Mommy and Daddy no longer have to entertain me with water, 'cause I do it all by myself!!

Football!!!!!

Sunday, September 13, 2009

Today is the official start of football season! I'm sporting my Jaguars clothes for Mommy and my Panthers blankie for Daddy. We love our kitty teams!!

I will *so* tackle you!

I got da ball!

New Stuff

Thursday, August 27, 2009

Well, I promised I'd be back with updates on some new things I can do now. It all started last week when I learned how to sit myself up. I'm pretty pro at it now, but take a look at the beginnings:

Then on Monday, Mom got some footage of me kneeling. She's been letting me practice on her. She will lay on the floor and I'll climb up on her tummy. I can even get my feet under me and stand up. But, as seen in the video, the couch is still just a little too high for me to grab on and pull myself up. But I can do it very well on shorter things, like a box!

Then today, out of the blue, I did this:

So, within a week, I've learned how to sit up from whatever position I find myself in, climb up stuff into kneeling or standing position, and crawl! World, watch out! Here comes Baby Ohz!!

Gerber Baby ... Eat Yer Heart Out

Tuesday, August 25, 2009

Mommy went and took my picture yesterday ... Let me rephrase that. She took *lots* of pictures!! We spent some time outside on the porch. It was a beautiful day with a very nice breeze and I really enjoyed my time basking in the sun!

Mommy even took a little video of me playing, too!

After we went inside I took a well-needed nap. When I woke up, it was picture time again! Mommy let me have some nakee baby time (woot!) and she got some cute pictures of me (which I'm sure she will show my girlfriend and use to embarrass me in the future).

Gerber baby, eat yer heart out! =D My next post will be all about the new things that I can do! Just wait and see what I'm up to now!!

Trying to Fly

Monday, August 10, 2009

I'm still getting the hang of it ... but I swear, one day I'll be able to fly.

Getting Bigger Everyday!

Yesterday I turned 7 months old! I just keep getting bigger and bigger everyday! Mommy still can't believe it's been over half a year since I was born! She loves watching all the new things I can do!

I'm such a happy little guy!

Here's the updated slideshow!

Missin' My Girl

Sunday, August 2, 2009

Sophia, my bestest friend (and girlfriend, shhhh, don't tell Mommy!), went on vacation with her family a couple days ago. She and her mommy, Amanda, had been coming over almost every day for play time and I really miss them! We would watch Sesame Street together, then our mommies would watch "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?"

I really miss my Soapy Girl!

Toofers McGee

Tuesday, July 28, 2009

I sprouted my two bottom teeth back in June, and Mommy has had the hardest time getting a picture of them. But it just so happened that this time it was "by accident."

She was taking a picture of me sitting in a shopping cart all by myself and, lo and behold, she snapped a picture of my teeth as well! So there are my little chompers. Mommy and Daddy think they're quite the sharp little "toofers". Maybe I'll get my top two for Christmas!

Mess-making

Thursday, July 23, 2009

Mommy discovered The Messmaker on one of Huggies' websites. I get to make a big mess without having to make Mommy clean it up afterwards. And it's a fun way for me to play on the computer! Here's the mess I made this morning after Mommy checked her email!

So, for all the aspiring baby artists out there, you should give the Messmaker a try! It's a lot of fun!

Bottles Schmottles!!

Monday, July 20, 2009

Who needs bottles when you have a sippy cup?!

Mommy let me try out a sippy cup this morning and I grabbed that bad boy right up and started drinkin'! I've watched Mommy, Daddy, and Bubba enough to know what to do with a cup!

The "sippy cup thing" came about yesterday when Mommy went with Amanda to the store and they were looking at bottles and cups in the baby aisle. The "Nuby" brand cups said 6+ months ... and, well, I'm 6+ months! Mommy remembered that she got a few sippy cups from a nice lady off Freecycle before I was born. When she got home she rummaged thru the kitchen cabinet and found the Nuby cup that was just like the one she saw in the store!

So, this morning, along with my carrots and rice cereal, Mommy let me try out my Nuby cup! And I completely rock at it! Here's the video she took of yet another first:
